Taking your loved one home
For most Kenyan families, the funeral ends at the rural home. We collect from any Nairobi mortuary and drive your loved one to the family home in any of the 47 counties, with 7 or 9 relatives travelling in the hearse.
We plan the departure time, the route and the stops with you, and we can bring the coffin, the flowers and the full graveside setup.

Before a long journey
A few things are needed before a body travels upcountry:
- The burial permit, which must travel with the body
- Mortuary clearance and release
- Embalming for long journeys, which the mortuary will advise on
- An agreed departure time, so the family can travel in convoy
Arriving at the home
We plan the route so the hearse reaches the home in good time for the service, and we check access to the compound in advance, especially in the rainy seasons.
If the family plans a viewing at the home or an overnight stop on the way, tell us when you call and we will plan the journey around it.
